Merger and new MD for ITT Flygt Ireland

ITT Flygt Ireland has announced it has merged its business with Wedeco, Sanitaire (UK), and Leopold – creating a leading solutions provider within the water and wastewater treatment market.
The merger creates a business with unparalleled levels of technical expertise, an extensive product portfolio and an ongoing commitment to product and service developments for its customers in Ireland.
The Irish headquarters for the newly combined business will be located at Flygt’s offices in Tallaght, Dublin with regional offices in the UK at Manchester for Wedeco and at Rugby for Sanitaire.
In support of this move, Peter Lewington has been appointed to the role of Managing Director of the four businesses in Ireland and the UK. Peter has held a number of senior roles with ITT Flygt, most recently as Director and General Manager – Sales, bringing a wealth of experience that extends across Sales, Service and contracting. Alison Kirwan will continue as General Manager of the company in Ireland. The new business will trade as ITT Water & Wastewater Ireland Ltd.
Commenting on the announcement Peter said: “We are committed to developing and delivering effective and energy efficient solutions for our customers. This merger heralds the start of a new phase for ITT Flygt Ireland - the combined expertise and experience of the four businesses will create a real force in the market and will allow us to fully utilise the high levels of technical expertise to the benefit of our customers and, ultimately, enhance our market leading position going forward.”
The four existing brand names of ITT Flygt Ireland, Wedeco, Sanitaire and Leopold will remain at the centre of all strategic development and communication.
